نفى الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب أمس الجمعة تقارير إعلامية ذكرت أن إدارته بحثت إمكانية مساعدة إيران في الحصول على ما يصل إلى 30 مليار دولار لبناء برنامج نووي مدني لتوليد الطاقة.
كانت شبكة (سي.إن.إن) وشبكة (إن.بي.سي نيوز) قد ذكرتا يومي الخميس والجمعة على التوالي أن إدارة ترامب ناقشت في الأيام القليلة الماضية إمكانية تقديم حوافز اقتصادية لإيران مقابل وقف حكومتها تخصيب اليورانيوم.
ونقلت (سي.إن.إن) عن مسؤولين قولهم إنه تم طرح عدة مقترحات لكنها كانت أولية.
وكتب ترامب في منشور على منصة تروث سوشيال مساء الجمعة “من هو الكاذب في إعلام الأخبار الزائفة الذي يقول إن ’الرئيس ترامب يريد أن يعطي إيران 30 مليار دولار لبناء منشآت نووية غير عسكرية’. لم أسمع يوماً عن هذه الفكرة السخيفة” واصفاً التقارير بأنها “خدعة”.
وأجرت الولايات المتحدة وإيران منذ أبريل/نيسان محادثات غير مباشرة بهدف إيجاد حل ديبلوماسي جديد بشأن البرنامج النووي الإيراني.
وتقول طهران إن برنامجها سلمي، بينما تقول واشنطن إنها تريد ضمان عدم قدرة إيران على صنع سلاح نووي.
